Think about your suggestion for a moment. What you are asking for is a society that bases it's laws on your economic support. Is that what you really want? We base our laws on representation, reflection, and input. God help us if that idea actually worked. If you don't like a pattern in application of the law, not just one special interest case, then get involved in the process and become part of the solution. Also take a moment to consider SD law precedent. It is extremely rare for anyone convicted of vehicular manslaughter to spend any time in jail if they weren't under the influence of alcohol. This was severe compared to their typical handling of a similar case. I realize we all have an emotional stake here but the reality of the matter is that Janklow was treated fairly in accordance with the law, and given no special treatment. If you can find evidence otherwise please let all of us know.
