LOL. It *used* to be my gateway for my network, until I got the sonicwall... I wanted to move away from the MS Networking requirement for VPN. Only took me months to finally get VPN working right (once the 6.3.1 firmware and VPN 8 client came out). I'd like to lose the 2K box altogether except for, like I said, VPN just suddenly decided to take a dump and simply cease altogether, even though I still get the connection, still show the same success in the logs and the connection monitor for all the negotiations and such.... grrrr... My feelings for Sonicwall appliances are like a rollercoaster ride. When it works, I really like it. When it stops working or does stupid stuff, it really gets irritating because I can find absolutely no reason for it to stop working.... Oh well, such is life I guess. If this stuff was easy and worked right the first time for everyone, I'd be flipping burgers at McDonalds or something instead probably. :)

My second adapter on my 2K VPN server is outside the firewall, just because I'm still dealing with the questionable security, but I know several people who have the second adapter on the 2K machine in the DMZ, and have no issues whatsoever. If it's in the DMZ, only difference is you'll have to make sure the rules are set up for it.
