Going back a couple of years, both Cisco and 3Com had massive duplex/autosensing problems. On the hihg-end gear you can luckily firmware-upgrade you out of the problem.

I just sent out an email a few minutes ago to this list asking what rules might have been there by default that allow VPN, since about the only thing I can think of is that somehow something is no longer present in the rules... I made no changes, and nobody other than myself has access or even understands firewalls or IP at all in my company, but with all else that I've been dealing with this, a rule that disappears wouldn't surprise me much. :) Oh well... I have the 2K box in place, so at least I can still VPN to my network - I just would like to get this going, since this is the big reason I purchased the sonicwall - for VPN. My second adapter on my 2K VPN server is outside the firewall, just because I'm still dealing with the questionable security, but I know several people who have the second adapter on the 2K machine in the DMZ, and have no issues whatsoever. If it's in the DMZ, only difference is you'll have to make sure the rules are set up for it.
