Serb graves desecrated in Kosovo 6 October 2008 | 09:26 | Source: Tanjug GRAČANICA -- Six tombstones at the Orthodox cemetery in Lipljan have been desecrated, Radio Gračanica reported on Sunday.
The brass letters spelling out the names of the those buried there have been removed, this radio outlet specified. The case was reported to the Kosovo police, KPS, in Lipljan, while this service's spokesman Veton Elshani was quoted as saying that "this is not the first time that tombstones and holy places have been desecrated in Kosovo, and precious metals taken from them to then be sold for next to nothing". The spokesman added that KPS will "undertake all measures to find the perpetrators and bring them to justice".
