FYI, I put up the announcement on the website ("Latest News"). Since
this sentence ...
> Check that PulseAudio is present before trying to use it.
... has already caused confusion (can be misunderstood as a request to
the user - "please check ... before trying to use the new SoX
version"), I changed it into "Will check that ..." for the website.
Other ideas how to express it more clearly are welcome.
I also merged dot into master a last time and deleted the dot branch.
You may need to do something like this to remove the stale branch and
remote-tracking branch:
git checkout master
git pull
git remote prune origin # or whatever you call the main repo
git branch -d dot
Development should continue on master.
Finally (mainly relevant to Pascal), I branched off a "debian" branch
from sox-14.4.1. My idea is that this branch can contain the packaging
files for the different Debian sub-versions of 14.4.1, while the
master branch has packaging files for the "14.4.2 git version" (with
libsox3 instead of libsox2, etc.).
