Thanks Ulrich, good idea!
I'll try to be diligent in pushing 14.4.1 to Debian unstable however
it will be hard this weekend¹.
I want to have a close look and think thoroughly about that API/ABI
breakage, symbol Vs. shlib files thing.

Note that each time there is an ABI breakage that forces me to
increase Y in the package name libsoxY, I need to coordinate the
transition with the Debian release team.

On a sidenote I'm also considering asking for the removal of
libsox-fmt-ffmpeg (14.4.0) from Debian testing so it does not
propagate to the upcoming Debian stable.
ffmpeg support is broken and is depricated in 14.4.1 anyway. I don't
think we want script or application developers to build upon it, do
we?
