I use Vim almost exclusively for my Python needs. I have tried playing with Eclipse a bit (it is not sluggish on my machine, but my machine is also a 17" laptop with 1.86 GHz Pentium M with 1 GiB of RAM and 800 MHz FSB, damn I'm gonna hate to give that up for the laptop work will be providing, but my wife will be happy), but I haven't gotten over the learning curve yet. I also haven't really figured out how to use Bicycle Repair Man or any of the other IDE features of vim.
I have played around with Boa and IDLE a bit. Haven't touched any of the Qt-based stuff, because as far as I'm concerned Qt doesn't exist, particularly on Windows, since Windows is currently my primary platform due to the fact that I develop Windows software for McAfee. There really is no editor other than Vim. I don't know why people play around with the other programs that claim to be editors ;-)
