Kitanya regarded him calmly, liking him immediately. If this fool CO didn't
listen to his field commanders, to the people like this man, then she might
not just fire him, she might use him for a scratching post, too. But she
remained quiet, waiting to see what Brell would do.

"An honorrr," she said, bowing with genuine respect. "I'm glad you and

the one used with Brell. It was direct, serious, and intelligent, her gaze
intent on him.

that told him to keep quiet or else.
