> "It was fine. Everything went well, no surprises for me. The

>wine. "How was your day?"
Selara said cautiously, "It was busy as usual. One of my freighters is
having problems in the border areas. It looks like I'll have to go there
for a few days to sort things out."
>Else where on the Promenade...

>The CinC took his seat, Garibaldi walked over to the table with the couple.
> "Good evening Commander, Ms. D'amondra. I hope I am not intruding." the
>Rear Admiral said.

> "Not at all Admiral." Sam replied, "Is there something that I can do
>for you Admiral Garibaldi?"
>
>"Not really." he replied. "However, I do have a question for you, Ms.
>D'amondra. How is it that you come to be with Admiral Lasiter's son? He
>is more than a little curious, as he is sitting over there." he said
>pointing to a table across the room.
For a moment, Selara was caught offguard, probably the first time anyone
would ever see her surprised like this. Then everything fell into place.
Why Sam looked so familiar, the family issues, even his name. Several
emotions - none of them in the least bit mild- exploded through her at the
same time.
She startled out of her seat, looking at Sam and then at Garibaldi. "Why
didn't you tell me?" she demanded, stricken and angry. "This could cause so
many problems..."
