"We can find nothing about her history before Stardate (whatever would be
approximately 20 years ago).  It is as if she sprang into existence fully
grown.  Without a 'biography,' anything about her youth, we have only case
reports that are sketchy, at best."

Rivest was clearly far more embarrassed about his lack of information than
trying to be evasive.
