     Lasiter too was silent for a moment.  The reality sunk in hard that his friend may be leaving to follow another calling.  That he may be alone once more to fend off the wolfs.  He was saddened by the prospect, but kept his true feelings to himself.


       "Well then you tell that Doctor of yours that he is a special man.  If you decide that you must go, then I will miss you deeply.  Thank you for telling me.  Remember that I am and will always be your friend."
