He signaled his acceptance of what she said by simply saying, "Please!
continue."

"That is promising, very promising. But I suspect that there must be something more because you are not the self assured officer that I first met on Pacifica those months ago as I asked you to join Starfleet Command." Lasiter asked slightly softer.

"Very well then. Who do you have in mind for this very vital assignment?" he asked very curious, and a tad skeptical. M'Rrenn had already suggested that Kitanya run it, but he was not happy with the idea.

The look on his face soured. It was obvious, even to a blind man, that Admiral Lasiter was not happy about the idea of having one of the top officers at SF Command go on a combat misison. His brough wrinkled and furroughed, and sat back in his chair heavily. He was really not liking the thought...

He said nothing, but kept staring right at her. A long moment went by before he finally spoke up.
"I do not know about this idea of yours. I did not like it when M'Rrenn mentioned it earlier, and I still do not like it now. You are asking that I allow one of Starfleet Command's top tier officers go on what is really a military mission. This is not something that I will decide in a moment....." He paused again, but this time it appeared as if he were staring right through her.
"I will have a decision at our meeting later today. Do you have anything else that I should consider before I begin making my decision? he asked neutrally.
