>"Commander, what do you have for me? I saw the warrants come through."

 >K'Tael passed a PADD with the results of the search warrent on it.
 >"Commander Firehawk searched Specialist Edwards' quarters a short while ago
 >while his locker was being searched. We found samples of Venasian
 >explosives, which were what was used in the shuttle bombing a few months
ago,
 >in both his quarters and his locker. While I was bringing the suspect in,
 >Firehawk investigates his bank accounts, which had big deposits placed in
 >them just before and after the bombing."

David smiled, the explosives alone made Edwards culpable, "The deposits and
the explosives are solid...I need to know where the funds came from. More?"

 >"Well, I spoke with Edwards and his lawyer. The interview was not
recorded.
 >I made it clear that we have enough to put Edwards away. The lawyer
proposes
 >that we limit the charges to possession of the explosives and Edwards will
 >help us in making connections with his network. He seems to think that this
 >was run through an anti-Venasian hate-group. I have my doubts."

"You didn't record it?" David wasn't all too happy at that, but was willing
to let it slide, "If so we have the makings of a civil rights crime here as
well...we could make an example of Edwards and that could legitimately be
charged by the Venasians."

 >"Well, sir. He did have anti-Venasian publications and communications in
his
 >quarters. I have no doubt that his feelings are reflected in such
materials.
 >I am just not sure that the people directing this were who he thinks it was.
 >His contact, "Charlie" was human, but he was his only contact."

David nodded.

 >"There is more, sir. Apparantly, Firehawk did some investigating after she
 >and Admiral Izata learned that the explosives used were of Venasian origin.
 >She had a meeting with the Venasian Ambassador, who seemed to indicate that
 >it would be difficult to get such explosives without being Venasian and
 >without the proper clearance."

"Ok so we add Conspiracy here."

 >"Audra already asked for the Ambassador's assistance, which the Ambassador
 >denied. Apparantly, there is some belief that no Venasian would harm
 >another, which I seriously doubt. While I think it may be a noble belief,
 >those involved in this are not the type to follow such rules.

"There are those Venasians who do indeed go by the beat of their own drum
and I agree with you."

 >"Ms. Firehawk seemed to believe that General A'amon might be involved. She
 >l has no evidence, but a feeling. Considering how well she has done on this
 >case, I am inclined to trust her feelings."

"General A'amon...not a Starfleet favorite...he is a known had-line
separatist who doesn't believe in friendly relations with us."

<response>

"I want to talk to Edwards if you wouldn't mind...and it will be recorded
and you will be there."

<response>

"Let's go."
