he was transporting to SPD. It is not customary nor is it required that a
diplomatic officer know what he is carrying."
Dais glanced over toward Allso. "Are you and your representatives stating
for the record that Mr. Allso did not know what he was transporting?" The
question was directed toward Rivik, but Dais stared at Allso.
Allso spoke up for the first time. "Commander Dais, I did not know what I was
transporting as part of my duties as a diplomatic courier, nor did I ask. It offers
some level of protection by not knowing."
Garibaldi added, "Prtotection from what... you conscious or the law?" his tone
dripping with distain.
"Commander, really... Is that necessary? No one here has questioned your handling
of your ivestigations, now have they?" Rivik responded.
