> So what do you make of Captain Black, our host..." he asked watching Black
talk to one of the other officers across the room that had stopped him from
reaching the bar unmolested by questions...

She followed his gaze and watched Black. "He's a good officerrr. He
underrrstands he way things worrrk in ourrr field, and that's a plus. His
boss, on the otherrr hand, may pose a prrroblem. I'll give him a prrroject
to do tomorrrow that will hopefully get him off ourrr backs."

     "Project... what kind of project..."

"Something fitting forrr his rrrank and position," she smiled. "But what of
yourrr superrriorrs? Any agents in yourrr group?" She had no doubt that
the High Council would want a KIA operative along for the ride. Whether
Polath would allow it was another issue. Even if they tried to slip one in,
Polath might have already killed him if his presence were objectionable.
And she doubted Polath would lie to her, although it wasn't impossible.
They weren't of the same House, after all.

"There were a few transfers before coming, so they would be there. High
Command would realize that Spec Operations is a tight knit group, so
loyality to the unit is almost as important as house honor. I expect that
they put in at least 2, probably 3; 1 to keep tabs on me and the others to
assist if they have to challenge me. I will know who they are before we
depart, but they are unknown as of today. But soon....."
