Before they could answer a call came in from the recpetionist.
"Mr. Rivik, a Commander K'Tael is here to see Commander Dais. He says it is
an emergency."
"Very well, we are breaking up. He will be there in a moment..." Rivik
replied to his receptionist. Then turning his attention back to Dais,
"Fine... Day after tomorrow at 1100 hours. We can give you roughly an
hour."
Dais nodded. "Thank you, Mr.Rivik," he replied as he looked to Joe to see
if there was anything else he had to add before they departend.
"Go on ahead Commander and see what Commander K'Tael needs. I will
behave while you are gone..." Joe replied hoping that Dais would take the
hint to go see what Station Security needed. Perhaps it was something
related to the case...
Dais took the hint and headed out to meet K'Tael in the reception area after
excusing himself. He saw the Klingon officer. "What can I do for you,
Commander?"
"I think you would like to take a look at this," he said simply as he handed
over the PADD. On it was the recording involving Mr. Rivik with the missing
hand as well as a computerized written transcript of the discussion.
Dais looked up at the Security Chief after finishing the recording. "You
cam at a most propitious moment, Mr. K'Tael. Thank you. You will have to
excuse me, but I reallly have to get back into that meeting before it ends.
This could definitley change things."
With that, Dais made a dash toward the conference room.
Meanwhile....
"We were hoping to have more than an hour, sir. Perhaps 2... This is a
rather important topic to keep to hour long meetings...."
(filler)
A few minutes later....
Dais stepped into the room, and made his way over to the table. "Gentlemen,
Mr. K'Tael just brought something to my attention that I feel obliged to
share with you in the interest of our working relationship."
The Trill made his way over to the nearby computer console and uploaded a
copy of the recording and transcrip and let it play in front of everyone.
