Dais stepped into the room, and made his way over to the table.
"Gentlemen, Mr. K'Tael just brought something to my attention that I feel
obliged to share with you in the interest of our working relationship."

The Trill made his way over to the nearby computer console and uploaded a
copy of the recording and transcrip and let it play in front of everyone.

Joe was impressed. For someone that had never done this before he was
pretty good. Better than some beings that Joe knew who had been doing
this for years...

The mood in the room went cold. Relik was bearly holding back his anger.
Allso's experssion could be summed up with two words: Oh Sh!t.... Rivik, the
Chief of Staff, was angered by this as well.

His delayed reply was, "It is illegal to bug transmissions coming from an
embassy of a member world. Which it appears as if you have just
done. We neither admit or deny that this recording is valid- not a
fabrication. We will not confirm that the voices heard belong to anyone in
this embassy. Meeting over... The next time you wish to speak with us, or
anyone else from this embassy, bring lawyers. You will not be permitted to
speak with us without ours. Relik..." he finished showing just how annoyed
he was.

Relik stood, as did Allso. Relik escorted the courier out of the room.
Dais and Joe were able to tell that Allso was a bit scared, or at least
quite nervous. The color from his face drained. Possibly because he knew
his fate, or possibly because he really did not know what was in the box...

Dais glanced toward Joe not really sure that the abrupt presentation had been the
right choice. "That did not exactly go well...."

"It could have been worse." Joe said trying to go easy on the XO. This was one of
his first good cop bad cop routines, and it really did nto go all that bad. Not good,
but not terrible either.

"We did learn a few things. Besides, did you see Allso as they took him out.
Seems to me that he was being honest here. He did not know what in the box, and is a
bit too loyal to his superiors to do anything about it. That may work to our
advantage. Let's get out of here. I am sure that Commander K'Tael would like a
status report, and we should not over stay our welcome..."

    {response}

The two left the room and hooked up with K'Tael. The three left together and walked
ad they discussed the events of the meeting. Particularily about Allso and his
expression. Joe was quite interested in Allso. If they could get him away from his
handlers, perhaps he could help them out..... But only if...
