Lorin and David exchanged waves as David hustled out.

> "Admiral Renaud, thank you for joining me today. This should not take
> too long, but it will be interesting to say the least. Shall we...."
> Lasiter motioned to the door.

Lorin stood and said to Lasiter, "Can I hold you to that?" He smiled-partially
in jest.

> "Any thoughts or questions before we board the runabout?" Lasiter
> asked as they walked.

"None...just mentally preparing for the challenge ahead."

"Good. I assume that you and M'Rrenn had a good conversation this
morning."

   {response}

They continued chatting as they boarded the runnabout. Flight time was
shorter than Lasiter had remembered, but he said nothng about it. The flight
was typically uneventful, and this one was no different.

They disembarked from the transport and were escorted into a large building at
one of the various facilities that Starfleet maintained on Mars. This was one
of the many R&D sites across the Federation. The building itself was a
typical product of Starfleet architects. The inside was a bit more notable,
but just barely so. Again another typical Starfleet installation.

"This is your new stomping ground, Admiral, or soon will be as the case may
be. Take a good look. It will look very different soon." Lasiter commented.
