>"Too bad I can't move the department back to Spacedock..." he said quietly as
he noticed some garbage on the floor, obviously ignored by others.

 >"Well, there is really nothing stopping you from doing that, assuming that
you have the budget for that in R&D. It will undoubtedly ruffle some
feathers, but that is your call. This is a command within Starfleet that
 >has been left to its own, quite possibly for too long." Lasiter commented
in return.

Lorin didn't have chance to comment but he could watch over two commands
easier being in one location.

 >"Admirals, welcome to the home of Starfleet Research and Development, the
fleet's toy makers. Admiral Lasiter it is good to see you again. Admiral
Renaud, it is finally good to meet you. I have heard so much about you.....
 >I do hope that you both enjoy your tour today." he greeted them. His
mannerisms were polite, but one wondered what his hidded meaning was.
 >Hutchinson just had that aura about him...

"The pleasure is likewise, Admiral."

 >Lasiter nooded saying, "Like wise, Admiral. Shall we begin...."

"Absolutely...." He took out a PADD and made it available for any notes he
wanted. He would keep a special eye out for security of the facility.

 >"Of course where would you like to start?" he asked.

 >"Admiral Renaud..." Lasiter said leaving that choice to him.

"Let's start out by looking at your Security access to the facility...with
recent developments that is a concern that I want to make sure is not in
dispute."

"If that is where you want to start. Access to the facility is secured in a
multi-level manner. First there is the approach to the building. It is
restricted by a wall with gates that are manned by Starfleet Security. Access
to the building itself is governed by access card, and all doors are
supervised by SF Security personnel. Once inside the only secured areas are
labs, central computer services, and select offices. We have randon id checks
and patrols inside the facility. We may not be as tight as Intell facilities
are, but we do take security very seriously. While it may not appear that
way, we most certainly do." Hutchinson answered.

"How many security personnel do you have?" Lasiter askes.

"Three shifts of 20." was the answer.

Definately not enough people..... The place was quite large, a building
about several stories tall with levels both above and below the surface
covering an area that exceeded an acre.
