Janaki's sea-blue eyes turned steely, and the gold flecks glinted dangerously. She replied, without looking at the message, "I am sure that after reviewing the message, I or my superiors will decide the appropriate channel of response. In the meantime, you may report to your superiors that the message has been duly delivered. Good day, Commander Dais."

Dais nodded as he watched the Venasian lieutenant turn and walk back toward the Embassy's entrance.

<Well, at least I tried,> he thought to himself. The one thing he did know, was the Venasians were being particularly secretive, which was not good.

It was not long before he reached Ops. He made his way to Admiral Renaud's office and rang the chime.
