"We shall see," replied the Klingon with a smile. "The Dominion was
definitely taught a lesson during our mutual war with them. We may have
different perspectives, but we do work well together. " Valtris liked the
little Andorian woman. She had fire. It was not everyone who was willing
to stand up to a Klingon ... even in a crowded room.
"Hope fully, we can deal with this situation before it reaches such an
extreme," replied Ra'aj. Her people had been on the side of the war because
they were rebuilding after their recent independence. "That is the purpose
of creating this Council."
Golan, who was standing next to the Aqualish Ambassador nodded in agreement.
The sole Starfleeter ventured a comment, "Than shall we sitdown and
discuss the options that we currently have..."
Golan extended a hand to the table and waited for the representatives of the rest of the major popers to take a seat. He banged the gavel to announce that the meeting was about to begin. "I would like to call this meeting to order. I think that most of you know why we are here. The empty chair at this table is part of that reason. It is important that we try and pool our intelligence of the situation concerning the Venasians and come to a conclusion as to how to respond."
Just then, Golan's comm chimed. It was Tamil calling to tell him that there was an important feed coming through the news service. Golan immediately addressed the assembled council members. "I believe this news feed will provide to be very important to our discussions."
He brought up the feed on the central console for all to see.
