While events elsewhere have been unfolding, the curious task force under the direction of Lieutanant Commander Joseph Garibaldi has been very busy. From secret audits of Starfleet's moth-ball fleet yards, to under-cover operations at many of Starfleet's facilities throught Federation space. They have been very busy. It is quite amazing that news of their existance is little more than a rumor, and a poorly circulated one at that.
Currently, they have arrested several people from the inspector general's office, and are in the process of questioning them. People that performed field audits. It is hoped that they will give up who they were paid off by, why, and where the missings goods went. They also have built some impressive cases against several officers for criminal activity, and are in the process of collecting witensses for trial. They had come quite a long way in their short existance, but that was so much more to do. Each and every member of the task force know all too well that asa soon as they started to take major action agaist the major criminals in the fleet, that the others would go underground. They wanted to get as much as they could before that happened. The task force would not settle for just an ok job, they wanted, above all else, to come as close to crippling the crinimal organizations that feeded on the lowest elements in Starfleet....
