"Sorrrry," she said. "Yes, I did do something, and yes, I am interrrested in what the
Ninth is doing. I'm interrrested in what all the fleets arrre doing, because that's
my job, to see wherrre SpecOps forrrces arrre orrr will be needed. Send the next one
into me, and if they botherrr me too much, you can melt them." So Kettering had
already set the hounds on her.
Well, this cat fought back.

"Yes, sir." replied the trusty Horta.

As she was about to enter her office, she heard two doors open at once. The closest
was that of Capt. Aurellius' office. The officer that preceded the Captain was an
impish looking being, also wearing captain's pips. The little fellow was not
particularily happy about something, but by all appearances the Magna Roman had talked
him down from the ledge.

>Admiral's garb. The mere sight of the freshly arrived admiral made the impish fellow

>Naturally, he made a hasty departure.

"Admiral Kitanya, I am sorry for my hasty exit. May I take up a few moments of your
time?" the new comer said, the new comer being Tyrus Lasiter.

Nagrat was ready to acidify the fellow at the slightest flinch of his Caitian boss.
Aurellius looked on somewhat amused at the events that were unfolding.
