On Dr. Brennan's daily news updates from the various sickbays on all Federation starbases and outposts, one tiny item embedded among all the other news:
*Two Venasian males, severely injured, rescued aboard a damaged shuttlepod by cargo vessel Pluto. Taken under heavy sedation to Starbase 554, where they are being treated for severe burns, respiratory trauma, and trauma associated with deep space exposure. Markings on the shuttlepod indicate it originated at Leskan VII. (*Leskan VII was the outpost colony that was destroyed entirely by Venasian forces during the coup.) This peaked Brennan's interest, and sent a note to the CMO that he wanted copies of everything- scans, lab results, lists of procedures performed, video of those procedure, the works. With the strange things happening, he wanted to be sure that nothing happened to the results, and he wanted to be able to offer assistance. Matthew also told the CMO out in the field to be sure to contact either him or Dr. Lucas Ryan on earth. Dr. Ryan was one of a rare few that had any knowledge of Venasian phyiology, let alone be one of the experts... ***** Chris GM- SPD & JSOC
