Updated report:

Venasian male 2: improved condition, still listed as critical.

All materials pertinent to two subjects forwarded to both Dr. Brennan and
Dr. Lucas.

On a side note:
An official from the Venasian medical division has sent documentation to
Starfleet headquarters for immediate transfer of both Venasian males 1 and 2
to Venasian custody, following standard procedures for inter-nation
transfers. Venasian medical ship L'tharan has been dispatched to Starbase
for transfer.

The note was routed to Dr. Brennan as it concerned a medical issue. After reading the
message, Brennan decided to pass this one up the chain. he was sure that Samuel would
be interested in this development. Within moments of forwarding the reports to
Admiral Lasiter Matt got a call.

"Doctor Brennan, this is Samuel Lasiter. Thank you for sending me those reports.
Please double check with Dr. Lucas for his opinions. I would be interested to hear
his thoughts on the subject."

"Certainly, sir. When I requested the reports from the CMO on site, I asked him to
forward copies to me as well as Dr. Lucas, so he should already have them." Brennan
answered.

"Fabulous." Lasiter was most definately pleased. "Then let's irratate the
Venasians a bit. Send word to the CMO that the Venasians are not to be released, the
alive one at least. Make up some reason about not transporting them until they are
more stable or something. I will have intell pay them a visit. This is the
oppertunity that we have been looking for. The chance to get first hand information
from one of the Venasian colonies. Delay as long as you can. Perhaps we can catch a
break and the the survivor will recover and we can talk to him."

Matthew understood, but was not totally happy with the idea of playing with a life
like this. The Venasians could honestly want to help, and they would most definately
be in a better position to provide the care he truely needed. his concern was on his
face, if only slightly

"Doctor, I can tell you are a bit uncomfortable with this. Let me assure you that I
don't want any harm to come to this Venasian. I fear that the lives of many more may
be put at risk if we don't take this oppertunity to find out what is going on over
there. That, and I am not sure that the Venasians really want to help this man. I
fear that he is more a survivor that we could imagine."

"I inderstand, sir. Thank you sir."

With that the comm was closed, and Brennan went about making his calls. First to the
CMO on site, and then to Dr. Ryan.
