Audra followed suit and stood with the Admiral. She politely bowed to the secretary.

As they exited the building, CMDR Lasiter and his security folks joined up and headed
out. Conversation was light, very light.  Beaming back to the Explorer happened just
outside the Venasian campus.

Back onbaord it was safe to talk.

"Thoughts, feelings?", t'Llhweiir said to the group.

"They are still putting us off," responded Audra. "If anything, this conversation has
increased my concerns for the safety of the Tremea."

The young Lasiter concurred.

"I am not sure that there is much more that we can do to try and get more information
through official channels. They have made it clear that the General is unavailable,
which I am not sure I believe. Considering recent events, it would not be politically
safe for him to leave Pacifica."

"Unless the change of power were to be complete and total.", Dais added. "Starfleet
has never really had a good idea of the strength and number of ships in the Venasian
Fleet. They could have moved in one swift stroke. While that sounds to be overly
difficult, let us not forget that General A'amon has been around for a long time, and
he would have had the time to place trusted officers in the key positions necessary to
carry out such a coordinated move. The militant faction that he assoiciates with has
been growing in popularity for some time. The pieces by them selves don't really say
anything, but taken as a whole the picture is grim. Leaving Pacifica may have been
necessary to shore up support or to further a plan that has yet to show itself."

"That is well and good, but just what do we do about it?", Sam asked.

"You three will return to the planet. This time mingle with the people. See if you
can get them to open up a bit. They will be in a much better position to know if
something is up. Take some time and get a plan together, then go down. I would
suggest civies, tricorder, personal phasers, and, of course, communicators."

The three nodded as the Admiral stood. "I will leave you to your planning. We will
need to head back within 48 hours, so get as much as you can."

With t'Llhweiir now gone, it was up to the three Commanders to come up with something.

"Visiting some of the popular hang outs might not be a bad idea. Any thoughts as
which ones?" Dias started.

"There were a few good looking pubs where we could mingle.", Sam answered.

  "Audra?"
