> > "I'm ready for my close up, Mr. DeMille.", Aurellius said as his parting
words.

She rolled her eyes and then called Naraht in and explained everything,
hoping he wouldn't dissolve a hole in the carpet (and the deckplating) by
the time she was done. But, he was game, and actually would enjoy
sticking
it to some people, and since he was a Horta and much less susceptible to
injury than the fragile carbon-based lifeforms, he wasn't worried about
Kettering's thugs. He went back out to play his part as the future
M'Rrenn.

Kit went back to work, checking on her file system and the passive
monitoring program she'd installed to keep an eye on unauthorized activity
on her system.

She found that there was a flutter of activity. Most of it from one of Kettering's
leiutenants. When they hit the brick wall of security on the files, Kettering himself
gave it a try. From their access patters they were looking up who her contacts were
and what she was working on.

  {thoughts?}

In other news, a note came down addressed to all departmental Chiefs of Staff, and
carboned to department heads. Commander M'Rrenn was having a meeting for all chiefs
of staff to outline some initiatives that were coming down the pipe from the CinC. It
was an initial briefing. The meeting was scheduled for 1000hours and would go until
lunch.
