"Ketterrring was rrready last night to make a grrrab to consolidate powerrr among the
disaffected officerrrs of the fleet. In orrrderr to delay him, I made it known that I
was investigating the possibility of trrrying forrr
CinC myself. I have some suporrrt therrre, and it divided the audience. He isn't the
only candidate now, and many werrre verrry vocal in theirrr dislike forrr him, if not
theirrr supporrrt forrr me. The most interrresting parrrt is that Rrrearr Admirrral
Tyrrrus Lasiterrr, Ketterrring's rrright-hand, has publicly withdrrrawn his supporrrt
forrr Ketterrring. He takes most of Ketterrring's legitimacy with him, but I
don't think it'll set back Ketterrring forrr long. The rrreal CinC, Admirrral
Lasiterrr, has plans that arrre falling into place, but he needs time to
chorrreogrraph the final steps. So, I'm the bait. While Ketterrring is trrrying to
figurrre out how to make *me* disappearrr, his eyes will be off the centerrr
seat."

"Well, that more than adequately explains the calls this morning, trying to feel you
out on your plans. What can I do to help? No need going this one alone, and besides
it would be nice to play a bit of politics. Afterall, it would be a change of pace
for me, and it would not be playing politics with lives in combat. Well, I hope
not..." answered her Magna Roman Captain. He was eager to help out the war effort.
Especially if it meant sticking it to a few bozos that had played around with the
lives of the fine folk in Spec Ops.
