> >"Thank you for your insight. I take it things went well last night?", he
said changing topics, referring to the faction meeting the previous
evening.

"They went as I had wanted them to," she replied. "I'm not surrre 'well' is the
rrright worrrd. But I underrrmined Ketterrring and rrremoved some of the supporrrt he
thought he had. Including yourrr brrrotherr."

"Do tell...." It was clear that he was interested. Very interested.

"He told Ketterrring he was not going to supporrrt him any morrre, and wherrre he
could get off. This morrrning, he came to see me and told me that while he could not
suporrrt me publicly, he would no longerrr prrrovide any backing forrr Ketterrring."
She thought about that for a moment. "Yourrr brrrotherr, I think, has the hearrrt of
a Mikan." In her
culture, it was a great compliment.

"Speaking for my brother, thank you for the honor." Lasiter replied first making note
of the high compliment. "I would say that you have moved mountains.
Congratulations." he continued.

But then he got quiet. He was waiting for the other shoe to fall. "How much time do
you think before he has regrouped enough for further action?"
