all units to stand by for further orders, and to recall all personnel on
training and leave. He (OOC: or is it she, I can't remember) received lots
of urgent calls from folks that were not connected to Special Operations -
the group. Just as Kit's call to the office winding up, Nahrat got another
call. One that the boss would want to take... Commander Jamison- her
initial contact with the group.
"Put him thrrrough," she said, turnng to the console.
>The comm-channel chirped signalling the switch from Spacedock to where
ever Jamison was calling from, and that it was secured.
"Commanderrr, I hope you've got good news forrr me."
>"Admiral Kitanya, I am so glad to hear your voice. Today's events have
people running scared, more than the expected amount for an days like this."
"I'm fine, and so is Admirrral Lasiterrr. We'rrre waiting on Intell
rrreporrts. What's the status of the fleet? How scarrred and which people?"
"The fleet is in shock, but moving quick. Starships in almost every port are getting
ready to leave port. Border areas are preparing for the first wave of an invasion, in
case our neighbors want to use the oppertunity to pick up some high rent territory.
But that's not what I was calling about. Kettering is trying to calm people down. A
few people think that he could be responsible for the funeral attack. From what I
heard he is trying like mad to reassure the others that he was not behind this. While
he is having some success at convincing other that he is not a total piece of crap for
trying to off a man as he burries his son. An officer that fell in the line of duty,
no less. Kettering is having very little success convincing people to remain aligned
to him. He is losing support, and anyone that shows that they have what it takes to
deal with this situation and lead... Let's just say that they will hold sway in the
fleet for a good while. Maybe long enough to earn their complete trust..."
