>A few moments later, the familiar hum of the Turbolift could be heard arriving. The doors parted, and out came Commander Shevab, who made his way over to the >entrance to Admiral Renaud's office. He reached up a tendril and rang the chime to announce his presence.

"Come!" He called out and hit the tab to open the doors. He let Shevab come in-he also realized lambasting this new officer would not help him grow in his position and he needed strong officers, especially now.

"Commander..." He closed the doors and turned off the newsfeed where he had watched the Press Conference and they sat in silence for a moment.

"Commander Shevab you did an excellent job in a difficult period of time today...and we're not through it totally yet. The investigation is just beginning."

"But I am also concerned. When we first met I stressed Chain of Command and its importance on this base. You called for Red Alert to be ended, yet you do not command this base. If Admiral Lasiter or Admiral t'lLwheiir do not give an order then I say when any alert status is to end. This is not something I want to repeat. Do you understand?"
