Out of the blue, and for reasons she did not fully know herself, she
said, "May I ask you something before we talk?"
Caimlyn was surprised by her request. He just nodded in response.
"What is your second name - umm, middle name?" she asked, remembering the Standard word for it. "If you have one, that is."

"Well, among the Russian people, it is our custom to address friends by their first and second names." She let him figure out the implication.
