[Of course, Doctor] The monitor listed, in a small subpanel, the average
normal measurements for a healthy Celana D'amondra in those categories. The
units, of course, were foreign, and unclear what they represented. However,
it appeared that all readings were on the low side of normal, except for
two, which seemed to be overactive. One other blinked red.
As if attempting to be helpful, the monitor explained, [We isolate several
systems within the central nervous system.] It indicated the numbers with a
flash, which apparently showed sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, and
several levels of consciousness where it was assumed telepathic activity
took place. [We have stimulated two systems which speed the progress of
physical repair to the rest of the body.] The two active numbers flashed,
showing him which ones. [Memory system will require some more time to
reconstruct] The blinking red one flashed at him.
Carlisle was impressed by the readings and the helpfullness of the 'system'. He made
notes in her chart about the readings, hoping that Dr. Ryan would be able to make
heads or tails from them. He moved on...
"Can you show me the cellular regeneration rates and nurtient osmosis at the sites of
the skin grafts, please? I would also like to do a visual inspection of the graft
sites.", he asked. Finally getting to what he really had wanted to check on.
