"I am fine," Carrhae replied, though she did not sound that way.  She seemed 
distance, as if more separated them than the length of the room. 

"Samuel, however, has had a very difficult day."  She told him about the attack 
on Spacedock and the injuries to others at the funeral.  Then, "Commander 
M'Rrenn was killed.  It shook Samuel up very much.  He is holding on for now."

Matthew's heart sank.  He had not known the extent of the damage, and it looked like a 
serious blow to Starfleet's top officer.

"I know how hard it is for him.  He will need you and Garibaldi all the more in the 
coming days.  The shock will not wear off for a day or two, and when it hits the fall 
out will be tremendous.", he commented.  In his long life he had love much, and lost 
so much more.  It was his curse.
