A few moments later the doors to the interview room open, and in walked a
human woman in her thirties.  She was simply dressed in a pale blue suit and
carried an old fashioned style brief case which she placed on the table. She
straightened her eyeglasses as she looke dtoward K'Tael.  "My apologies,
Commander.  I did not mean to keep you waiting, but as you can understand, I
am quite busy.  Making an appointment in ten minutes is not always easy for
me."

K'Tael nodded as he bit back a laugh.  It was not often that humans were
willing to start off with a jab at him.  "I understand.  I appreciate you
making the time at such short notice.  I think you will find it is of utmost
importants that we deal with this situation quickly, Ms...." replied K'Tael
as he indicated a seat she could take.

"I am Ione Moiraine, public appointed defender for Mr. Jorgenson, the man
you would like to interview this afternoon."

K'Tael nodded.  "Welcome to the Security Office complex Ms. Moiraine.  I
hope our working relationship will prove expedient to the cause of justice."

Ione shifted a strand of hair out of her voice and just stared at the
Klingon for a moment.  <Who was he kidding with all this justice is blind
crap, she thought to herself.  It was what they all wanted to believe when
they became lawyers and police officers, but reality was justice tended to
fit the most expedient needs.

"Mr. K'Tael, in case you didn't understand what I said earlier, I have a
full schedule.  Let's just get this meeting over with so you can interview
my client and we can get down to business."  Ione took a seat.  "Or to say
it in words easier to understand, what did you want to speak to me about?"

If K'Tael had less control of his responses, his jaw would have hit the
floor.  He didn't remember the last time he had been spoken to like that.
Nevermind, from a puny human woman.  Unfortunately, he was going to have to
put this aside to get his work done.  "Well, Ms. Moiraine it seems like your
client is in a bit of trouble.  He apparently knew about the attack that
took place at funeral of Admiral Lasiter's son before it happened."  He let
the fact drop like the bomb he hoped it would be for her.  It wasn't a
literal slap in the face.

The temperature in the room was definitely rising. Ione cocker her head in response.  "What makes you say that, Commander?  I have seen nothing in the arrest report for Mr. Jorgenson that indicates he had any connection with the assault at the Lasiter funeral."

"To be honest, he is the reason that I was able to rush down there before
the attack occurred.  One of the guards in the brig heard him bragging about
something big happening  down on the planet at the funeral and that it would
involve Admiral Lasiter's personal guard."  K'Tael leaned forward and made
sure that his black eyes peered directly into her pale blue ones.  "And,
guess what?  That is exactly what happened."

"I am supposed to just take you word on this, Commnader?" she asked as she eyed him suspiciously.  She wanted more before she was going to respond.

(K'Tael?)
