"An appology is not necessary, T'remea. However, since you mentioned it, I must admit that I am curious about your experiences with the Borg and what knoweldge of theirs that you were able to keep with you. Separating from the collective has never been easy. In fact it is quite rare. There have been so few to do so."
She smiled, again clearly used to receiving the question. "We were attached to the Borg collective for less than a month, Captain. We were pure drones, involved in the general function of the vessel, and never accessed the inner workings of the collective. Indeed, as a drone, you do not have any desire to. However, my exposure to them did give me many insights into the different cultures and races the Borg have assimilated. As you know, the Borg keep detailed record of all civilizations they conquer. Some were here and gone long before the Federation existed. Occasionally I see... images in my dreams, of vast cities and great civilizations. I find unexpectedly that I have knowledge of cultures I have never encountered Some of it is useful, but most of it is... a remnant. I grieve for those destroyed people, Captain, and that, more than these implants, is what makes separation from the collective difficult."
