The prisoner let out a heavy sigh. He had already crossed one line. He figured he might as well let K'Tael have what he wanted in regard to Jinx since they were cellmates in more than one way. "We were in the same Brotherhood cell."
"How did the two of you meet?"
"Jinx recruited me. He was sort of like a mentor when I was first getting started in the organization."
"Does he rank higher than you in the Brotherhood? Is he your group leader?"
"He is of a higher rank, but he is not the leader of the cell. He is a foot soldier like me."
"Do you know where he got the information about the assassination attempt?"
Jorgenson shook his head. "I have no idea. He does have access to more information then me because of his status in the group, but I don't know any specifics."
K'Tael nodded. He had a feeling that there was not going to be much more that he wsa going to get out of Jorgenson, but he figured he would try one more thing to see if he would bite. "Who was the leader of your cell?"
Jorgenson studied K'Tael carefully. He had let his emotions carry him earlier. He was not about to make the same mistake twice. "I don't think I can tell you, Commander. We talked abou this earlier. I am not going to name names."
"Do you know the names of any of your superiors?"
"I refuse to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me."
"Is Jinx in our custody?"
"I refuse to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me."
"Are any of the membership of the Brotherhood leadership in our custody?"
"I refuse to answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me."
At that point, Ione Moiraine stood up. "Commander, I believe this conversation is over. I don't think keeping this up this interview is going to further your information search." She studied the Klingon to see if he realized she was not stone walling him. She was just telling him the truth. Jorgenson had clammed up, and he wasn't going to open up anytime soon.
K'Tael had been hopeful that he was going to be able to get more, but that just did not seem possible at this point. Ms. Moiraine was not overstating the case when she said that Jorgenson wasn't going to be giving out much more information. He nodded. "You are probably right, Ms. Moiraine."
He tapped his console to bring in a guard who would return Jorgenson to the Brig. "If you have a few more minutes I would like to speak with you once your client is going."
