"I can't really elaborate as this is all I have been given. He feels the need to temporarily step down."

"Yes I realize your son is your paramount concern and as a parent I share that pain. However would it be a safe assumption that your son would not want you pining for him either?"

"If you will accept the position you'll have Dr. Basco working right alongside with you. You can also bring in any other additional staff you'd like so that you can split some time to devote to your research. On the other hand, I will employ every tool I have to find and bring your son home."
