t'Llhweiir compared this to the notes that Lasiter had given her shortly after
he asked her to take on M'Rrenn's duties. She sent a message to the CinC with
a priority tag so that he would see it more quickly than most of the multitude
of other messages he receives:
Sir, is there any recent information relevant to the R&D meeting with Admiral
Renaud at 0730, Stardate .....? t'Llhweiir.
She did not expect an immediate response, so she transferred the notes to her
padd and began work on the more sensitive files the late chief-of-staff had
been handling.
Two hours passed quickly. She noticed with satisfaction that real progress had
been made. She shut down the access and contacted Y'Toi.
"I will be leaving Headquarters for several hours," she said. "If I need to be
reached, contact me through my secured combadge."
This told her assistant that she should only be contacted in an emergency, and
Y'Toi understood that immediately. The Ferengi replied, "Certainly, Admiral."
t'Llhweiir closed the connection and left M'Rrenn's office.
