>"There are a few things I wanted to discuss and bring to your attention.
>Before that though..." he took a deep breath and said professionally but
>somberly, "on behalf of the Council we would like to extend our deepest
>condolences and sympathy on the passing of your son."

>"Thank you, Mr. Ambassador. The past few days have not been easy for
myself and the family, and >would have been near impossible if not for the
kindness of thouse around us. I will pass on your >message to the rest of
the family.", Lasiter said accepting the kind words.

"It's never easy...I pray that justice will serve you well in finding who
did this. If I can assist in this process in anyway possible, it'd be an
honor." He said honestly and plainly.

(response if any)

"I suppose we'll move onto some other business now. As you may know, the
former Cardassian Ambassador Gulath was recalled by the government. Not only
is that the case but it was recently discovered that he is alledgedly being
held as a political prisoner on Cardassia. Unfortunately the Cardassian
Ambassador denies this and states he is teaching at a university. Honestly
this conflicting information is disturbing. Due to his positive influence
and cooperation with the Council in the past, I raised a motion-which was
passed-to send a contingent of Council members down to Cardassia. I will be
attending. We intend to speak to him personally."
