Valtris nodded her head. She could more than understand the Rihannsu representative's concern. She wassurprised that the Romulan was willing to share the fact that her people provided the information that Rilg had presented to the Council. "I must thank you for your candor, Ambassador. I must also thank you for your help. Ambassador Dulath was a dear friend to me. I must admit that I am greatly concerned that he may be in danger."

Ael nodded. "While my people have no great love for the Cardassians, I do share your affinity for the one in question. I would also not be surprised to learn,"she said, continuing her euphemism, "that there are forces at work on the Cardassian homeworld to try and intervene in a ... less than diplomatic way."

Valtris was surprised to hear that comment. It was a pleasant surprise, but she still did not let that emotion be seen on her face. "I believe that could resolve the situation in a manner in which many on the Council will be more than happy ... though, Melora Damesh would probably not count among those," she replied with a devilish grin.

In the outer office.....
Ael's assistant was wondering a bit at the sudden popularity of her boss. A klingon in the inner office, a Ferengi in the outteroom and now a human on the commlink? "The Ambassador is in a meeting from which she cannot be disturbed," she told both Bedru and Rilg. "I will notify you as soon as she is available."
