"Nothing more than I have already stated. Good night, Chief." (response) After they left, Carrhae put away the jacket and scarf and went to her quarters to change. As she undressed, she looked at herself in the mirror. What she assessed was not her physical appearance, however, but her motivation for her actions this night. First, she slipped away unescorted, disobeying Lasiter's direct order. And for a romantic assignation, of all things! This was very uncharacteristic of her. Then, rather than returning as she came, she went with Matthew directly to Star Fleet Headquarters. A confrontation with security was inevitable, as was the report that was being created as she stood there. Finally, she basically told them it was none of their business where she had gone and why she had gone alone. Was she trying to get "busted" from Star Fleet? No! That went every aspect of mnhei'sahe, the Ruling Passion, that had guided her life. Then again, she had never been deeply in love before. Perhaps that passion had cancelled out the first. Perhaps.... This would be a day that would challenge all that she was. She closed her eyes. <Oh, Elements> she muttered. t'Llhweiir ends ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ | Randye Jones |) aka Adm.
