could hear him as he worked at his console. "I believe it is some sort of radiation that would be similar to a transporter?"
The doctor was not completely surprised by the comment. While it would not have been her first guess, it was something that she and Aravis had been discussing earlier. Actually, it was a good sign.
Aravis glanced toward Hilda and smiled. It seemed the Doctor was onto something with her earlier hypothesis. "Is the radiation indicative of a known technology? Can we use it to identify who might have been doing the transporting?"
McTiernan studied the sensor readings some more before responding. "The readings don't match anything in the Starfleet database. This is a technology that we have not come across before. It might be helpful if we get a closer look at C-4 and maybe even of the Red Spot."
Dr. Ingolsdottir agreed, but she was not sure it was something that she wanted to do. While she knew it was there job to investigate the unknown, they still did not have enough evidence to make sure that a repeat of the earlier incident would not take place. She glanced towardL Lieutenant Holt to see what she would decide.
"I am going to take us in. Let me know immediately if you see any indication of a rise in radiation or other variation as we approach." Aravis turned to her station and input the commands to move the Runabout toward their destination.
