"Carrhae adn I could go together," Matt suggested. "She's been the most attractive and repeated target, after all, and we could say, officially, that we are headed to the conference on the way to our honeymoon."
"That will not be possible, I'm afraid. Who is your second choice?", Lasiter answered without detailing why.
Not possible? "Well," Matt said, stumbling a bit, "I really dont' have a second choice. May I ask why Carrhae's company on this is not possible?" he asked.
Lasiter paused a moment before answering as if considering something, which he was. Considering whether or not to answer the question completely. Middle of the road.....
"Admiral t'Llhweiir has been ordered confined to her quarters at Starfleet headquarters when not on duty, effective tomorrow evening as part of an administrative punishment.", he said breaking a momentary pause in the conversation.
