"Samuel, are you well?" she asked. "You seem more tired." Her concern for him showed clearly on her face.
He did not want to go into this now, and certainly not here. Afterall, it was a wedding, a reason to be happy, and such talk was not happy talk.
"I am very tired, and stretched too thin I think. My plate has been switched for a platter, and it's too full. I just need some time to greive in my own way. Just as soon as A'amon gets here and finishes with me, I taking a week to ten days.", he said acknowledging her observation.
He had said this before, but Carrhae suspected there was more. However, she would not press him. He would speak when--or if--he chose to do so.
(ooc: btw, if my writing style is becoming more florid, it's because I'm currently reading _Captain Blood_. Both my speech and writing patterns sometimes change when I read a lot of earlier period pieces.)
"I can do nothing to alleviate the grief, but I want you to remember that you have a staff that wants to help you handle the rest of the 'platter.' You are not alone in this."
