There was a lovely Klingon woman seated at the reception area. She looked up with icy blue eyes at Chase and smiled. Surprisingly her teeth were in fairly even condition. It was clear that she had likely had some dental work done at some point. "Welcome to the Klingon Embassy. How may I help you?"
Chase was a little in awe with the weaponry. It was not so much that he was a big fan of arms, particulary the type that seemed more meant to inflict damage and pain than win a battle. Only Klingons could find so much pleasure in using such items for interior decoration. He glanced back to the receptionist. "I was hoping that I might meet with the Ambassador. I am working on a master's thesis on the Dominion War, and I was hoping that I could speak with her about the Klingon perspective on the events that were part of it."
"I am sorry, sir, but the roj'utlh is currently at a reception meeting the new leader of the Venasian people. After that, she has an appointment offworld. Perhaps, I could make an appointment for some time next week," she said as she pulled out the scheduling calendar on her desk.
A frown filled Chase's face. He really did not want to put this off. "Was there someone else I might be able to speak with. I have a meeting with my advisor soon, and I really need to show some progress on my research. This would be a pretty important part of that."
"I believe that we should be able to do that. Let ne see if the nugh'boQ (OOC: Cultural Attache) is available to speak with you. May I have your name?"
Chase felt a smile broaden on his lips. He did not mean to express hir relief that obviously and quickly repressed it. "Chase Eldin."
The woman nodded and slid her chair over to another section of the desk and spoke quietly for a few moment before returning. "He can speak with you. His name is Koomah. If you go right down that hall, his office is the third door on the left."
Chase turned down the hall and followed the woman's directions. Upon reaching the door, he rang the chime, which actually sounded more like an old-Asian gong.
