"Commander M'Rrenn was Admiral Lasiter's chief-of-staff for over eight years,
but their association for more than 15 years.
"It is quite possible that the admiral was making comparisons. He will be
leaving within the hour to escort M'Rrenn's body home. He has not had
opportunity to grieve.
"That said, I bring two points to your consideration. First, Admiral Lasiter
specifically asked me to review you as a possible replacement. Second, he
already felt comfortable enough to 'converse' with you."
"I see.", Soran answered the weight of her words sinking in. "I am honored and
pleased that the Admiral is so comfortable with me. It appears as if I have a
big pair of shoes to fill. If I may, Admiral t'Llhweiir, what do we do from
here?"
