It was clear that Abrams was not just speaking of what actually had been reported- ie the Klingon device. Perhaps to cover his backside.... He was trying to answer the questions posed to him as honestly as he could, but it was clear that he was given some instruction prior to their arrival. He was definately not the bad guy.

Jackson had been listening as Abrams spoke about the complaints. "Commander, how is your relationship with Admiral Van Der Loo?"

"My title is deputy chief of operations. My responsibilities include logistics and inter-governmental affairs. But I'm not sure that is what you are asking for..."

"Did anyone speak to you about how you should answer certain questions from us or about this topic?"

"In a manner of speaking..."

Jared's eyebrow rose in response. "Commander, as I told you, we are investigating an incident that happened to Captain Boulay here. Those in his shoes could very easily be killed. I believe that Admrial Van Der Loo ordered you to help us in whatever we need. We need full answers to our questions."

Valtris could sense the uncomfortable position that the other officer had been put in. He was exuding the stress quite strongly. To a degree, she felt bad for him.

(response?)

"Commnader, what could you tell us about Captain Boulay's time aboard this station?"

(response?)
