Upon their arrival at Spacedock, Valtris met the rest of the Council members
at the airlock for disembarking. She wanted to see if there was anything
else they needed to do in regards to Golan Dulath. She had little doubt
that he would not be returning to Cardassia any time soon. She was
not sure whether they needed to make any arrangements for that.

She nodded with a grin to Melora Damesh on the way by, but had no interest
in talking to the woman. She did want to talk to Grand Proxy Rilg, who as
usual was standing a bit off to the side. "Might I have a word with you,
Grand Proxy,"

Rilg looked up to his Council-mate. He was surprised that she wanted to
talk to him. He had so little involvement in recent events. He nodded
his head. "Of course, Madame Ambassador."

She nodded her head to indicate that she wanted to talk to him separately
from the rest of the group. "Rilg, I think you should be proud of your
involvement in all of this. That man owe's his safety and independence to
you."

If Ferengi blushed, he would have been a deep red. It was not often that
his people were able to stand out for this kind of involvement. "I thank
you, Valtris, but this could not have been accomplished without everyone's
assistance. I added no more, if not less, than most of you."

"That may be true, Rilg, but most people think that the Ferengi are foolish
and selfish. Even with all the reforms that your people have been
through,"said the Klingon representative. "You have definitely proven that
is not the case. You challenged Melora Damesh, who I knew you were worried
about and brought forward information that may have saved Golan's life. We
owe you a lot for that."

Rilg's toothy grin revealed the pride he was feeling. "Thank you, Valtris.
I appreciate your kind words." It was not the type of conversation one
expected with a Klingon. Her comments made him feel like an equal among
the rest of the Council members. "I look forward to continuing as a full
participant in Council deliberations."

"I think that you will find that a bit easier now. I am sure that I am not
the only one impressed by your actions in recent days, Rilg."

(response?)

"What are your feelings about the newest application for membership to the
Council? The Ramesar seem interesting," said the Klingon as she changed the
subject while walking across the air lock from the Holbrooke to the station.
