"That may be true, Rilg, but most  people think that the Ferengi are foolish
and selfish.  Even with all  the reforms that your people have been
through,"said the Klingon  representative.  "You have definitely proven that
is not the case.  You challenged Melora Damesh, who I knew you were worried
about and brought forward information that may have saved Golan's life.  We
owe you a lot for that."

Rilg's toothy grin revealed the pride he was feeling.  "Thank you,  Valtris.
I appreciate your kind words."  It was not the type of  conversation one
expected with a Klingon.  Her comments made him feel like  an equal among
the rest of the Council members.  "I look forward to continuing as a full
participant in Council deliberations."

"I think that you will find that a bit easier now.  I am sure that I am not
the only one impressed by your actions in recent days, Rilg."

"Thank you, Ambassador."

"What are your feelings about the newest application for membership to the
Council?  The Ramesar seem interesting," said the Klingon as she changed the
subject while walking across the air lock from the Holbrooke to the station.

Rilg had to hustle to keep up with the tall woman, but he was able to do so.  "I have to admit that I know little about them.  I was interested in this situation that has caused there society to be split between the Usupers and the Origae.  I am curious as to how that will play out.  And it is clear that their relationship with the Venasians will provide us with some interesting discussions."
